Grenada and Japan Discuss Areas of Bilateral Cooperation
Prime Minister Tillman Thomas on August 21st sought assistance from Japan in the areas of renewable energy and in the protection of Grenada’s ecosystem at Bathway in St Patrick.
The prime minister discussed the areas of cooperation with the Japanese ambassador, Yoshimasa Tezuka, during a visit to the prime minister’s office, following his presentation of credentials to Governor General, Sir Carlyle Glean.
Thomas told the ambassador that Grenada requires the assistance of the Japanese government in obtaining the relevant technology to harness and utilise alternative sources of energy, especially from wind and the sun.
The ambassador will visit the fish processing plant and will meet with members of the diplomatic community prior to leaving for Trinidad and Tobago.
