Guyana President Pays Official Visit to Cuba
The president of Guyana, Donald Ramotar, arrived in Cuba on Wednesday, October 17th, on an official visit, which includes talks with Cuban President Raul Castro.
The Guyanese president is also scheduled to pay tribute to Cuban National Hero Jose Marti at Havana’s Revolution Square and carry out other activities on the island as part of his official visit.
Cuba and Guyana established diplomatic relations on December 8, 1972. Bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries currently on focus the fields of health, education, culture and sports.
