Haitian being deported back to home country for ignoring the immigration and passport act


Emson Francois of Haiti pleaded guilty to the charge of failure to comply with the immigration and passport act on September 28th 2010 at the Roseau Magistrate Court. In his plea in mitigation, Francois said that the police held his passport for approximately one year hence the reason why he did not have it at the time. Magistrate Candia George ordered Francois to be deported back to his home country immediately.
