Heather Vidal of Portsmouth Crowned Mothers Queen 2014
Ms. Heather Vidal of Portsmouth was over the weekend crowned Carnival Mothers Queen 2014, at the Arawak House of Culture on Saturday February 22nd.
Ms. Vidal, 38, received the awards for Miss Intelligence, Best Talent and Best Traditional Ole Masquerade amid eight other contestants.
The first runner up Patricia Charles of Grand Bay received awards for Best in Traditional Ole Masquerade and Best Evening Wear.
Tarickh Joseph of Canefield won second runner up and received the awards for Best Swim Wear, Best in Swim Wear, Best in Evening Wear, Miss Elegance and Miss Photogenic.
Cecelia Henderson of Riviere Cyrique copped the third runner up position and won the Miss Amity award, selected by the participants.
Other participants included Vanessa Louisy of Pointe Michel, Terissa Bruno of Canefield, Jasmine Joseph of Mahaut and Ezra George of Bath Estate.
The first Carnival Mothers Queen show took place in 2013 and was won by Ms. Kyishrma Victor of Salisbury.
