The company also launched what they dub as Whitchurch’s Young Entrepreneurs Competition, at Saturday’s ceremony.
Damian Whitchurch Aird said that despite the lengthy title, the competition is in fact quite simple.
He said “we all know how difficult it is to start a business in any country and are aware of the many challenges that college graduates face when wanting to start a business, hence the competition.
According to Damian, starting in February 2011, Whitchurch will solicit business plans from young entrepreneurs between the ages of 18-35 whose goal is to start a business but lack the expertise and capital, to do so.
After reviewing the applications, the company will choose one successful applicant who is worthy of receiving a capital grant from Whitchurch.
The first disbursement will be a $ 5000.00 grant and additional funds will later be disbursed totaling $ 20,000.00 over a period of three (3) years.
