The national HIV/AIDS response programme launched a news letter today Wednesday 12th of October.

The news letter provides information in the areas of HIV/AIDS for the general public. It’s title ‘a touch of red’ was chosen because the symbol for HIV is red and red also means life.

Programme coordinator of the HIV/AIDS unit Mrs. Julie Frampton says it is of no use to have so much information on HIV/AIDS and keep it to themselves when there are still so many people uneducated on the matter.

Mrs. Frampton explained the nature of the news letter.

Parliamentary secretary for the Ministry of Health and Environment commended the hiv/aids unit for the publication of the first volume issue 1 of its news letter.

Peace corps operator working with the unit Amanda Nase, was responsible for finalizing the news letter and the staff did much of the editing.

There will be a quarterly publication of the news letter.

It will also be emailed upon request and will also be made available on the HIV/AIDS response programme on face book.
