Holy week activities in high gear at the Roseau Cathedral
Hundreds of Catholics will converge at various churches in the world as activities observing holy week gets into high gear.
In Dominica, the activity began with a Prism Mass at the Roseau Cathedral earlier on Wednesday, April 20th, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
Thursday will feature the Washing of Feet and the Last supper from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
The Easter Vigil Good Friday Mass will be held on Friday from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
Saturday will feature the midnight mass from 10:00pm to 1:00am.
Father Jno Lewis of the Pastoral Center says the week signifies an important one for Catholics worldwide, as it tells the story of Jesus’ last days on earth before the crucifixion.
A call has been issued for Christians to use this week as a time of reflection, making personal sacrifices to spend more time in prayer with God.
