graduation 2011.jpgOn Thursday June 16th 2011, the Arawak House of Culture was alive in celebration as the host venue for the Isaiah Thomas Secondary School 5th form graduation ceremony.

The event themed “Your destiny, is your responsibility” celebrated the accomplishments of students from the ITSS, who are now at the end of a journey.

On the night fifty three (53) students participated in the graduation ceremony. Three (3) students graduated with honors and three (3) with distinction.

The Principal, Mr. Jerome Bardouille spoke proudly of what this day means to the school and its graduating students.

Mr. Bardouille commented that it gives him great pleasure and pride to see students walking up the school steps, but more importantly, it is the realization that there is something of great value at the top of the steps and it is worth while getting there.

Dr. Francis Severin PHd. gave the feature address at the ceremony and advised the graduates to set themselves realistic goals, to take responsibility for their future and to continue both formal and informal education.

The ceremony included remarks from Mr. Kelver Darroux, the Parliamentary Representative for St. Joseph, who presented the awards and certificates.
