“I’m not working so it’s not my fault,” says well known Cork Street resident.
The charge of possession of cocaine and attempt to commit a drug trafficking offense was filed against Mr.
Wayne Sanderson of fifty-five Cork Street, who pleaded guilty to both charges on Thursday September 2nd 2010 at the Roseau Magistrate’s Court.
According to the facts of the case Sanderson was arrested after officers on duty conducted a search at his residence on September 2nd, 2010.
During the search the police officers found a black plastic bag, said to be in Sanderson’s clothes basket, containing one hundred and four (104) grams of cocaine with a street value of approximately three thousand dollars ($3000).
Sanderson, a father of three was fined six thousand ($6000) to be paid by December 31st, 2010 or in default he will serve one year imprisonment.
