Indian High Commissioner’s Dominican Tour Ends
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a Press Conference, with the Indian High Commissioner, His Excellency Malay Mishra on Wednesday June 27th, as his tour of Duty in Dominica came to an end.
His Excellency Malay Mishra, a Career Diplomat, who joined the Indian Foreign Services in 1979, bid farewell to Dominica, after his 4 year stint.
The Commonwealth of Dominica became a part of his portfolio in 2009, when he officially presumed his position as High Commissioner of India in Dominica.
He added, a Banana Expert from India visited Dominica and the work which he conducted was very good, however, it was not adequate.
From there, he said,they received more requests from the Government of Dominica.
“India is an emerging country with a focus on Information Technology,” he stated.
Mr. Mishra noted, that Information Technology in India has done great wonders to all sectors of their development, and now they are one of the many countries world-wide to export a great deal of software.
Mr. Mishra says, Dominica and India will always be friends due to their long and trusting relationship.
