Interview with Health Officer
Health officer of the HIV/AIDS health response unit Ms. Angela Desabaye is urging people living with HIV/AIDS to eat right.
Ms. Desbaye says having the right nutrients is vital for everyone; however it is more important for hiv/aids victims.
She says the nutritional need varies depending on age. For example, a baby needs will be different to that of a 6 year old.
In addition, she mentioned that people living with HIV can look normal and healthy but eating right will decrease the process to aids.
According to Ms. Desbaye, there are a few workshops scheduled for the near future that will hopefully stop or decrease the discrimination and stigma towards hiv/aids victims.
She says most of the victims are afraid to come in for treatment due to people responses.
