Irvin Jackson says Hard Work Pays Off-
Pierre Charles Secondary School Teacher, Mr. Irvin Jackson, who was awarded the “Phenomenal Male Teacher Award” on Wednesday Tuesday 3rd, says his hard work has paid off.
Mr. Jackson received the award during the Dominica Association of Teacher’s (DAT’s) 17th Annual General Meeting at the Garraway Hotel, where he stated that he has been a teacher for 14 years.
During an interview with SAT News, he noted that the Pierre Charles Secondary School is the only school he has taught at and he is contented and comfortable with his working environment.
It is said that all schools in Dominica were requested to nominate their outstanding male teachers.
Mr. Jackson was one of eleven outstanding nominees submitted for the award.
He says he has no regrets that his entire teaching career began and remains at the Grand Bay Secondary School which was later renamed after deceased Prime Minister Pierre Charles.
Mr. Jackson is currently a Mathematics and Geography teacher, but also assists with the schools’ adventure club and student council.
