While giving an overview of the movie, President of La Cour Des Arts De La Dominique Inc, Miss Augustus said that the play ‘It only takes one’ was her contribution to the National Cultural Council first ever plays competition in the early 90’s. She said that the play which highlighted issues of sexual abuse against minors, and HIV/AIDS stole the hearts of the judges, and was rated number one among the others. According to Miss Augustus, this ignited a spark to add a second part to the play and stage it as a full length performance, focusing on the issues of HIV/AIDS and parental attitudes, students and relationships, and peer support.
Miss Elizabeth Wayland who delivered an address on behalf of Film Commissioner Mrs. Anita Bully congratulated La Cour Des Arts De La Dominique Inc on the launch of ‘it only takes one.’
