Local Man Reaches Regional Caribbean Scene
Sernel Flaurent a young man from the isolated, eastern coastal village of Good Hope has made a splash on the regional music scene with his locally flavored gospel music.
The budding artist who goes simply by the name of Sernel has been singing since the age of 11, has released a new music video for his song ‘Touch me Again’.
The song tells of how persons once inflamed with a passion for Christ, sometimes lose their way and needs to be refreshed in their faith.
Sernel has performed at gospel concerts in St. Martin, St. Lucia and Antigua, with scheduled appearances in Jamaica and Trinidad later this year.
He has shared the stage with international performers such as Lieutenant Stitchy and will soon perform with Carlene Davis who sings the popular song ‘You will carry my load.’
Coming from a humble background to the regional spotlight was not easy he says, and encompassed a lot of determination and perseverance.
He last graced the stage in Dominica at the Praise Festival where he performed alongside Caribbean Gospel sensation Sherwin Gardener of Trinidad and Tobago.
