Loubiere Residents Continue to see Progress with Road Works
Loubiere Residents are continuing to see progress on the road developments in the area.
Our cameras were watching when s some of the work was being executed on the roads, where Government is improving the drainage and building side walks.
According to the Minister for Public Works, Energy and Ports, Honourable Rayburn Blackmoore, this is part of the Government’s commitment to improving the infrastructure in the country.
The project is estimated at $1.7 million, and the improvement will greatly help pedestrians and motorists.
Mr. Blackmoore says this is a very important project for the people of Loubiere.
At Lalay Coco they have started to put concrete curbs.
Mr. Blackmoore says this will maintain the integrity of the surface of the road.
On the western side of the road, there will also be the installation of concrete drains.
In some of the areas where sidewalks are to be put in place, a few homes have been affected.
The Minister assures the public that wherever this occurred, residents were informed and will be compensated.
We look forward to bringing the public an update when the project is completed.
