Many Activities Carded for Tourism Month

The 20th anniversary celebration of Dive Fest, is just part of an exciting summer planned in Dominica.

Dive Fest 2013 will captivate locals and visitors alike as one of the Island’s more popular events.

The annual extravaganza is noted for its traditional canoe racing, dinner dances, sunset cruises, whale watching and waterside fêtes.

From July 5th to 14th, Dive Fest 2013 will pay tribute to the first Dive Fest held in 1994.

The Dominica Festival of the Creative Arts better known as “DOMFESTA”, focuses on scuba diving, educating the public about diving, and raise awareness about Dominica’s stunning and unique marine environment.

The idea is to persuade people to experience diving in Dominica.

The festival showcases the Island’s art and culture as playwrights, poets, artists, singers and musicians , come together to present their interpretations of Dominica’s rich heritage in the arts.

Artists across the Island present theatrical plays, art expositions, poetry and drumming festivals, as well as creole competitions, village feasts and concerts.

The Champs Hotel, located in Picard, recognized for its special “staycation” rates for 3 consecutive years, has begun their “staycation” rates for the month.
