Marine Casualty and Incident Investigation Course begins!
The Regional Training course on Marine Casualty and Incident Investigation was held on Monday, 3rd 2012.
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Public Works, Energy and Ports, Mr. Kendal Johnson, says the program commenced today and will proceed for the next 2 weeks.
This body is made up with at least 170 member states. The primary objective of this training course is to assist maritime administrators within the Caribbean Region.
It also helps to harmonize procedures for investigations in Marine Casualty accidents.
IMO representative, Mr. Marcel Ayeko, noted that there is support abroad for this course and he assuring the public that it will remain this way.
Honorable Rayburn Blackmoore, Minister for Public Works, Energy and Ports, says without any doubt, shipping is the most practical and reliable way of doing transnational trips.
He says that he is sure this course will be beneficial to us and Dominica.
