Personnel from the Ministry of Health, Fire and Ambulance, Police Service, and the Dominica Red Cross will be trained over the two week period.
The trainings will be facilitated by one regional facilitator and locally trained facilitators.
Throughout the trainings participants will learn the Mass Casualty Management system and the role of each response agency in the system.
At the end of the training session a field exercise will be conducted to test the participant’s knowledge.
The Emergency Care and Treatment will also teach participants the skills necessary to begin assessing and caring for a patient at the scene of an accident, or catastrophe during the first few minutes following an emergency.
