Massive Reduction in Price of Friday Night WCMF Tickets
For the first night of the World Creole Music Festival, there has been a massive reduction in the price of the tickets for Friday October 26th, 2012.
The Government of Dominica has decided to declare the first night of the event “Dominica Night.”
The price has been reduced from $120 to $50.
Events Coordinator of the Dominica Festivals Committee, Mrs. Nathalie Clarke Meade, says this is a Hot Spot sale, to give back to the patrons of Dominica.
The Prime Minister pointed out that the decision was taken in recognition of the fact that Dominicans have been supporting the festival for the past 16 years.
He says they wanted there to be a greater participation of a wider section of the Dominican community, and our patrons from overseas, on this night and therefore took the decision to reduce the price.
The Events Coordinator says this is not because tickets are not selling at all. The Season tickets were all sold out and this to get more people to come to the Festival on the Friday night.
Remember that on Friday October 26th at midday, prices will revert to $100 at the gate and on Saturday and Sunday it remains at $120.
The 16th edition of the WCMF, being held this weekend, will pay homage to local musical icon Jeff Jo.
