Ministry of Tourism Awards Two Major Contributors
Hard work certainly paid off for two major contributors towards Dominica’s tourism industry, as they were on Wednesday 30th April 30th 2014 awarded by the Ministry of Tourism for their hard work.
They are Ken George-Dill of Ken Hinterland Adventure Tours better known as (Khatts Tours), who was given the Director’s Award for their contribution towards the development of tourism in Dominica, and Rodex Lander of Atkinson with the Minister’s Award, for his contribution towards community tourism in the north and north east.
Head of Product Development of the Discover Dominica Authority, Ms. Kathleen Cuffy noted, Khatts Tours has been a long standing partner in the sector of tour operators.
Khatts has been the tour operator of choice for local groups as well as universities in the United States including; the Acadia University, Boston and Texas University.
Owner of Khatts Tour, Ken George-Dill who was thankful for the award stated, it was only through hard teamwork that this recognition was possible.
The second awardee was Rodex Lander who created Olive Guest House in Atkinson in 1988 along with family members, a business which has been serving the tourism industry since its inception.
