Miss Dominica Leaves for Miss World
Miss Dominica, Leslassa Armour Shillingford, said she is confident with regards to the Miss World pageant, being held in Indonesia next month.
Ms. Armour- Shillingford, holder of three regional titles, is scheduled to leave Dominica today, Monday 26th August.
According to Ms. Armour-Shillingford she intends to put her best foot forward by performing at a high standard and make Dominicans Proud.
The show, which is carded for September 28th, consists of seven rounds, which each contender will participate in.
The first is beauty with a purpose, which is a video, text and pictures that the contestants need to provide to the organizers of the Miss World Pageant, depicting the work that they have done in their various communities.
There is also the swimwear round, photo-shoot style, evening wear round, high fashion round, miss fitness, talent and interview segment.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn different dances from across the region; Ms. Shillingford will learn Belle, to show of Dominica’s culture on the Miss World stage.
