Murder in Fond Cole

The police are carrying out investigations into a stabbing at Fond Cole, on Friday June 21st, which resulted in the death of one man and the hospitalization of another.

According to Police Public Relations Officer, Inspector John Carbon, 20 year old Jashvin Jean-Jacque of Fond Cole succumbed to his injuries as a result of a stab wound he sustained to his chest, inflicted by 34 year old Don Hilton Bobb also of Fond Cole.

The incident occurred about 9:30 pm during an altercation involving both men at a liquor shop.

It is reported that during the altercation, Mr. Bobb sustained multiple injuries allegedly inflicted with a cutlass.

Both men were transported to the Princess Margaret Hospital Accident and Emergency Department, where Mr. Jean-Jacques was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Mr. Bobb was admitted, and is presently a patient at the Alford Ward.

A coroners’ inquest will be convened and a post mortem will follow on the deceased.

Investigations are continuing.
