Najacki Thomas Bail is Denied Again
Najacki Thomas, who was charged possession of cocaine and possession to supply seven kilograms of cocaine stemming from an incident in Massacre last weekend, was denied bail when he appeared in court on Thursday January 3rd.
His Attorney Wayne Norde indicated to Magistrate Candia George this is the fourth bail application his has made so far for his client.
He also presented a surety with land in the value of $150, 000.00 in an attempt to bail his client.
However this was not sufficient as Magistrate George set bail at $250,000.00, after the Police Prosecutor Inspector Claude Weekes stated to the Court that, the alleged cocaine has an estimated street value of $186,000.
Thomas was arrested on Sunday, December 6th, when the Drug Squad and Task Force conducted an operation in the community of Mahaut, during which a vehicle, registration number PR466 attempted to posed danger to one of their vehicles.
Two tires of the vehicle driven by Thomas were deflated by gunshots fired by the police, causing it to stop.
Thomas, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was arrested and the cocaine reportedly found.
