National Team Scores Emphatic Win in Friendly
On Friday July 19th, a welcome ceremony was held at the Windsor Park Stadium for the Martinique Footballers who played against Dominica on Saturday July 20th, in a friendly football match.
The Dominica National Senior Men’s team secured a forceful victory in the friendly encounter against Martiniquan side, St. Esprit.
Playing at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium, the National team defeated their opponents by four goals to nil.
Debutant, Delbert Graham converted midway through the first half of play to give his team a one nil advantage in the half.
The home team found the back of the net three more times.
In the second half Randolph Peltier gave his team a two nil lead early in the second half followed by Lester Langlais and Romarion Burgins who scored one goal each .
Head coach of the Dominica National Football team, Ronnie Gustarve said that he was pleased with his team’s performance.
“The performance of the team this evening was good. I saw a lot of positives and going forward, we just have to build on that,” the former national striker said.
