NBD Continues to Invest in Education

vlcsnap-2013-09-06-13h16m16s125The National Bank of Dominica has taken the initiative to provide scholarships to deserving students every year, in an effort to continue its support towards the education sector.

This year the Bank has granted three students scholarships, to attend secondary schools. They are Joash Laurent who will be attending the St. Mary’s Academy School, Jodelle Prentice the Goodwill Primary School and Don James the Dominica Grammar School.

The presentation of the scholarships was declared by Lilian Polydore, head of Human Resource Department at a press conference on September 4th.

The three recent recipients of these scholarships will increase the total of students to the NBD High School programme scholarship to ten.

Ms. Polydore congratulated the recipients and wished them a very successful period during their high school years.

“We want to wish them the very best and God’s blessings as they go forward,” she stated.

Stephanie Seaman, one of the recipient’s mother expressed her gratitude to the bank for on the students’ future.

The scholarships will cover the students’ period at high school and includes stationary costs among others.
