Various institutions received their annual donation from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry on Wednesday December 19th.

The donations include agricultural produce and cater to the needs of the less fortunate in society.

Mr. Clayton Brian, Acting Hospital Service Coordinator at the Princess Margaret Hospital, says at the hospital they are grateful for the gesture and this will greatly help them to feed the residents at the institution.

Technical Officer for the Division of Agriculture, Mr. Winston Magloire, says he wishes they could donate more often as world food prices are increasing.

Many local farmers have contributed to these donations.

Ms. Gloria Walsh, Director of Love One Teach One Foundation says the donations will surely put a smile on some faces as part of her foundation.

She says it is the personal thoughtfulness and giving to others that makes the occasion so special.

Other institutions that received from the donations included the Grotto Home for the Homeless, The Dominica Infirmary, Operation Youth Quake, Chances, and Grange Home for the Homeless.
