New Construction Commences at Old Mill Cultural Centre
Chief Cultural Officer Mr. Raymond Lawrence, in an exclusive interview with SAT News, stated that the Old Mill Cultural Centre is under construction for a new underground drainage.
A drain is being built to carry out the water that usually floods the Old Mill grounds especially during the Rainy Season.
This project, funded by the Government, of Dominica is costing over $40,000.
Mr. Lawrence believes the underground drain will most certainly take care of this flooding issue.
The project started in June and is expected to complete towards the end of August.
The Chief Cultural Officer wants to inform the public that this project will not interfere with Independence activities hosted at the Cultural Centre.
