Numerous Students Complete Computer Literacy Programme

A number of students are now computer literate, after a summer program, which commenced on July 8th   that was suited to enhance their basic skills and knowledge in the field.

Five communities benefitted from this program which is an annual initiative by the Ministry of Culture Youth and Sports, and the Youth Development Division.

A small ceremony was held at the Public Service Union on August 16th to honour the participants of the Summer Computer programme.

Ms. Kirshten Peters the longest standing instructor of the program, gave the report.

She said all the students excelled and covered all areas that the programme provided.

The Youth Development Division will continue to provide students with necessary skills required to be better students in society.

The participants were from various communities around the island including Castle- Bruce, Roseau, Wesley, Portsmouth and Grandbay.
