St. John’s Academy School in Portsmouth Officially Blessed
A new school has been blessed in the community of Portsmouth.
Well-wishers, parents and Parliamentary Representatives gathered at the Roman Catholic Church in Portsmouth on Thursday September 6th.
It was the first time they came together as a school to bless the work they are doing at the school and their accomplishments thus far.
Principal of the St. John’s Academy, a private catholic secondary school project, Dr. Juliana Magloire, says the school currently has 40 students and caters to children from all over the Island.
The amount of students enrolled this year was not as expected due to the lack of exposure.
She hopes that by next year they will have well over 100 students.
The secondary school section starts from 1pm and goes till 6pm.
The official school will be built right next to the current Roman Catholic Church.
The grand opening of the St. John’s Academy is expected sometime in January 2013.
