Stephanie Astaphan of Dominica is the proud recipient of the 2010 ECCB De la Rue Scholarship
The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) in collaboration with the Thomas De La Rue group PLC continues to play their part in providing financial assistance to individuals by awarding Ms. Stephanie Astaphans of Dominica with the 2010 ECCB Thomas De La Rue Currency Scholarship. De La Rue group PLC is the authorized printer of the EC dollar which aims to award deserving individuals of the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union with scholarships, valued at 9,300 Euro per year. This scholarship is awarded every two years to assist individuals in furthering their post graduate studies in economics at any campus of the University of the West Indies. Qualifications for this scholarship include an Upper Second Class Honours Degree and the individual must be committed to returning to the Caribbean to work upon completion of their post graduate studies. Ms. Astaphans has received her bachelor’s degree in international Politics and Economics from the Middlebury College, Vermont, USA, and has achieved high honours for research on dependency relations with the Caribbean.
