Orion Academy Wins National Secondary Schools Debate

The Orion Academy has won the National Secondary Schools debate on Wednesday, March 27th.

The finals of the Kiwanis Club of Roseau National Secondary Schools debate, was held at the Arawak House of Culture with the topic, “Social Networking Sites Causes More Harm than Good”.

Ms. Khonda Hamlet, President of the Roseau Kiwanis Club, said this year was the celebration of their 21st debate.

First Speaker from the Orion Secondary School Natalia Nassief, who was on the “proposing team overwhelmed the crowd with her amazing articulation as well as her well researched material for the debate.

On the opposing team, first speaker from the Portsmouth Secondary School Aneisha Aaron, also delivered a strong argument with valid reasons indicating why Social Networking causes more harm than good.

The staff of the Orion Academy was commended for the training and preparation of the students.
