Panel Discussion Held as Part of Cuba’ CARICOM Day
As part of “Cuba CARICOM Day”, a panel discussion was held on Friday, December 14th.
This event was held under the theme, “A true story of brotherhood and regional cooperation.”
Environment Minister Dr. Kenneth Darroux, says it brings joy to his heart to see the number of professionals in Dominica, that were trained in Cuba.
Dr. Darroux explained that the reality of the situation is that we are one region. He says the very same issues that confront Cuba are the ones that confront the “English-Speaking” countries within the Caribbean.
He added that Cuba and its Government have changed the landscape of Dominica and he used his medical achievements as an example.
Dr. Darroux says it is because of the opportunities that Cuba has constantly provided to Dominica, he was able to pursue his dream.
Dr. Darroux believes with continued efforts to work with Cuban Embassy, Dominica will move forward.
