Person prank-call the Fire Department

fire truck2.jpgA prank call was made to the Fire Station stating that the kitchen area of the Goodwill Primary School was on fire on Monday June 4th.

According to Acting Public Relation Officer of the Fire Prevention Unit Mr. Wayne Letang, when the fire team arrived at the scene, everyone seemed baffled as to why the fire team was at the school.

Mr. Letang says he explained to the Principal that the Fire Department received a phone indicating that their kitchen was on fire and gave the name of the person who he received the call from.

He says the principal said not only there was no fire but there is no one at the school by that name.

Mr. Letang is urging the public to stop these silly pranks because these things have serious consequences.

He mentioned that someone could have been in serious danger.
