Playoffs to commence this week in the Lime Sponsored National Basketball League

 

The Glam X-men was crowned Champions of the Lime National Basketball League for the second time, when they beat their rivals and defending Champion RJS Blazers, by 57-51 points at the Lindo Park, last week Friday. 

 

The top scorers for X-Men were Davidson Toulon with 15 points, Garth Joseph 14 points, and Joseph Hypolite with 10, while K. Jno Jules scored 14, and Ricky Toussaint and Sean Esprit scored 8 points each.

 

In the interim, the final games of the Lime National Basketball League were played on Saturday evening with the top teams in both divisions remaining in form and improving their winning record.

 

In game 1, Raffoul Snipers of Paix-Bouche maintained their winning streak without a sweat as Tony Prentice Stormers failed to field a team, allowing the Snipers to win by default. I

 

In game 2, Paix-Bouche Eagles had an easy victory over the United Insurance Sharks, as they scored 91 points over United Insurance’s 55 points, to maintain their second-place position.

 

The top scorers for the Paix-Bouche Eagles were E. Matthew with 15 points, Andel George 31 points and Lynvor John with a season-high of 42 points, while Clem Nicholas and Royce Ceasar snatched 18 and 17 points respectively, in a losing cause.

 

That concluded the end of the Regular Season and the Playoffs are expected to begin this week.
