Police Advisory on the Real Mas 2011

The Dominica Police Force is encouraging carnival revelers to be on their best behavior, as the country gets set to stage its 2011 Real Mas celebrations next week Monday and Tuesday.

 

Acting assistant superintendent of police, Inspector Claude Weekes encouraged revelers to adhere to the rules set by the police on carnival Monday and Tuesday.

 

He also reminded vendors that it is unlawful to sell alcohol to minors.

 

The general public is advised to be on the look-out for counterfeits as well as pick-pocketers.

 

Inspector Weekes also sounded a strong message to parents and guardians to safeguard their children during this festive season.

 

The times stipulated by the law for carnival Monday is from 4:00am to 10:00pm and Tuesday from 8:00am to 10:00pm.
