Police Investigate Shooting and Man is Arrested for Murder

One man is currently a patient at the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH), following a shooting incident that occurred at the Botanical Gardens in Roseau, on Saturday May 18th.

Mr. Albert Bethel better known as Psycho of Roseau was found lying in an unconscious state at the Botanical Gardens, about 11:00 pm that night, with a gunshot wound to his head.

He was transported to the Princess Margaret Hospital Accident and Emergency Department, where he was treated and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.

The police are soliciting the assistance of the general public in finding the shooter, and anyone with information of this incident or any other crime is asked to call 1-800-4468 or 1-800-8477.

 

 

 

 

 

 

In other stories, the police have arrested and charged 26 year old Mr. David Daniel Bannis of Castle Bruce, with the murder of 74 year old Mr. Julius Joseph better known as Editor of the same village.

Mr. Joseph was found dead on the Castle Bruce public road, in the vicinity of his house with wounds to his chest and back on Tuesday May 14 at about 5:45 am.

The body was pronounced dead at the scene by the District Medical Officer, and it was then transported to the Princess Margaret Hospital mortuary pending a post mortem examination and a coroner’s inquest.
