President Makes Cash Donation to Operation Youth Quake
It was all smiles for Residents, children and management of the Operation Youth Quake on Thursday November 15th, as they received a cash donation from the President Eliud Williams.
This donation came from proceeds of the Annual President’s Charities Dinner.
Speaking at the donation President Williams says he admires the work of the organization which is challenging but good work.
Mr. Williams pointed out that the children who were granted that second opportunity to be a part of society, should be grateful for it and make the best of it.
Some students of the Roseau Primary School who were present received advice from the President.
He advised the students that education is the best investment that any human being can make, so the students must take it very serious, and invest their time to ensure all homework is always done among other school related activities.
The President also donated a bag of rice to the Youth Quake so they will not have to purchase rice for the next few weeks.
The Management of the Operation Youth Quake expressed thanks to the President and said these donations will go a long way.
The President also made a cash donation to the Mount Carmel Retirement Home, while he will be making donations to organizations such as, Grotto Home for the Homeless, Alpha Centre, Workshop for the Blind and the Dominica Infirmary among others.
His Excellency is scheduled to visit the Princess Margaret Hospital on December 13th.
