PSS Students to Showcase Talent in third Buy Dominica Campaign

The Business students of the Portsmouth Secondary School are taking their careers very seriously as they prepare to showcase their talents at the third Buy Dominica extravaganza.

The campaign will showcase products made by the students themselves and will be displayed at the Roseau market on Wednesday March 27th to Thursday March 28th from 8 am to 6 pm.

Mrs. Roseline Matthew said this initiative came about, from the mission statement of PSS, which speaks of holistic development of students.

The zealous teacher of PSS encouraged students to give back to their community, by pursuing careers as manufacturers which will enhance our economic status as a country.

On the day of the campaign the students of PSS will be acquiring real life experiences of the entrepreneurship world.

They will be selling their products to the Dominican public.

Mrs. Matthew is urging Dominicans to patronize the students by purchasing the products that will be on sale.

She said many negative things are being said about youths in society today, so when they organize positive events such as this we need to support them.

A lot of interesting products are expected to be displayed on Wednesday March 27th.

The Portsmouth Secondary School plans to allow this event to be an annual one.

That’s wonderful Mrs. Matthew. I know that you are indeed a gifted teacher and have not only PSS students, but Dominica’s students at heart. PSS and the Ministry of Education should be proud of you for the splendid work you are doing at the school. Keep up the good work. YOU ARE A MODEL FOR OTHERS. GO PSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well done Mrs. Matthew and PSS students. You make me proud as an ex-student of your school. I hope that your initiative will inspire the students into manufacturing, a sector that is badly lacking some movement in this island.
