Q95 Under 16 Annual Competition
The Arawak House of Culture was the place to be on the night of Saturday June 29th, for the Q 95 Annual under 16 singing Competition.
A number of young persons who wanted to put their musical talent to the test graced the stage performing religious pieces as well as love songs.
Shayanne Lake of Canefield was not only pleasing to look at, she was a joy to listen to as she sang, Taurus Riley’s ‘I will stay with you’.
Other performances in the first segment of the show came from; Sanah Shillingford of Loubiere who sang, ‘The Greatest Love, ’Lakisha Peters of Portsmouth who sang ‘Spot Light,’ and Kaywanie Parillon of Bourne who sang ‘Someone Like you.’
Phael Lander of Kingshill had the Holy Spirit infused in him, as he passionately recited a song entitled ‘Hallelujah.’
Other performances came from Ronelia George of St. Joseph who sang, ‘Days of Elijah’, Kitwana Telemaque of Wesley singing “This I Promise You,’ Alicia Mills of Layou who sang ‘He Wants it All’ and Ifa Georges of Paix Bouche who sang, ‘Goodbye’s the Saddest.’
However at the end of the night, Carsim Birmingham of Soufriere, emerged overall winner of the competition.
