Reach poor person’s dinner
A call is being sounded by the management and staff of Reaching Elderly Abandoned Citizens Housebound (REACH), for the public to come out in large numbers to support their annual poor person’s dinner.
The dinner which will be held at the fort young hotel, from 7:30pm on Saturday march 10th will have on the menu soup, garlic bread and dessert.
Speaking with REACH caretakers Ms. Gloria Prosper and Ms. Andrena Graham, who have been working at REACH for a number of years, says the poor person’s dinner was started by Sister Jean who is one of the ICM sisters in the daughters of Christ.
They say that this dinner is all in the effort to raise funds for the organization, which in turn they would use to fund their caretaking ventures of the elderly.
Fort Young Hotel is providing the venue free of charge, and is also responsible of taking care of all the preparations of the food.
Entertainment will be provided by Tasha P and The Swinging Stars Band.
Anyone wishing to purchase tickets to the dinner can do so by contacting the reach office at 448-8096
