Representatives of the Dominica Manufacturers Association and Invest Dominica Authority to undertake
The Invest Dominica Authority (IDA), the Dominica Manufacturers Association (DMA) and a delegation of local manufacturers will be attending the Annual General Meeting of the Association Martiniquaise pour la Promotion l’Industrie (AMPI, DMA’s counterpart in Martinique) in Martinique from June 27 through June 30, 2012.
This visit follows AMPI attending the Annual General meeting of DMA here last month, and represents the building up of firm relationship between the two manufacturing associations and IDA.
This is an important platform for the realization of enhanced business investments and additional collaboration between Dominica and Martinique.
While in Martinique, the business delegation will be making prearranged visits to Martinique companies that have expressed interest in partnership arrangements with local Dominica firms, with a view to formalizing possible business opportunities.
IDA will present on business opportunities, processes involved in the establishment and operation of business in Dominica, the Economic Partnership Agreement and opportunities it presents, and the facilitation services provided by the agency.
IDA is mandated by law to provide facilitation services to both local and foreign investors in Dominica and serves at the secretariat of the DMA.
