Road Project to Enhance Housing Scheme in St. Joseph
Residents of Hillsborough Gardens in St. Joseph will soon have proper access to their homes as work is currently being undertaken to refurbish the roads and drainage in that area.
Parliamentary representative for St. Joseph, Mr. Kelver Darroux disclosed at a site visit on Thursday, November 7th, that over two hundred thousand dollars have been invested in this project.
Currently there are thirty houses in the area, which were specifically constructed to accommodate residents of the St. Joseph and Layou Communities.
Mr. Darroux believes that this enhancement will be beneficial to the residents in the area for years to come.
Two contractors from the community have been presented agreements for the project, on which over 20 young persons are employed.
According to Honourable Darroux, 25 lots are now available for sale to the public and additional lots are expected to be ready soon.
The project is expected to be completed in four weeks.
