Robert Gregory Facilitates Capacity Workshop
Over the next five years, the CARICOM Education for Employment Programme is expected to improve the education and training system throughout the Region.
This was a statement made by Robert Gregory, Consultant with the CARICOM Education for Employment Programme, at a capacity workshop, held on Thursday June 13th at Dominica’s Financial Center.
Mr. Gregory noted that this is a strategic planning workshop; therefore, the outcome of it would be the frame on Dominica’s own Tevet strategy for workforce development and economic competiveness of Dominica.
It will facilitate the free movement of skilled individuals throughout the Region, making Dominicans more certified.
He said the currency of the qualification will be recognized not only throughout the Region, but Worldwide.
The Consultant believes it will lift the quality of the Dominican Workforce.
When asked how long it would take to receive specific qualifications, he had this to say;
Mr. Gregory urges the public to commit themselves to lifelong learning and continuous improvement.
“Technology is changing jobs every day, resulting into new methods and techniques. We need to keep up to date,” he concluded.
