Roseau Central Beauty Copped First Ever “Miss Red” 2013
A talented Donella Riviere, representing the Roseau Central constituency, has won the first “Miss Red” title.
Twenty one young beauties participated in the event, which was deemed a success on Saturday July 27th at the Krazy Coconuts complex.
Ms. Riviere won $4000 for her participation, along with other gifts and prizes.
First runner up was Talia Celestine of Vieille Case, who won $2000.
Second runner up went to Ms. Primrose David, who represented the Mahaut Constituency and walked away with $1500.00
Cortella Defoe of Grand Bay came in third position with a $1,000 cash prize, whilst Alana Charles from the Roseau Valley secured Fourth place and $500.
Each contestant competed in the first two rounds. At the end of the second round, the top eleven were chosen to compete in the evening wear round.
Following the evening wear segment, the top five were selected, including the winner of Miss Red 2013.
The event, initiated by the Labour Youth Organization, was aimed at allowing young ladies an avenue to experience different aspects of pageantry and fashion.
