Roseau City Council Hosts Delegation of Fifty (50) people from Martinique

The Roseau City Council  welcomed a delegation of fifty people from Martinique on Wednesday April 10th, to discuss avenues of business among other matters.

In his address to the delegates Mayor of Roseau, Mr, Cecil  Joseph,  mentioned that he felt welcomed on his first visit to Martinique.

Mr. Joseph stated that it is vital that we all understand that we are in “Caribbean Water”.

He noted this is an important factor despite the fact that we travelled from West Africa to the region which was called the “New World” by Europe.

“There are many French individuals who died and were buried in Dominica, and this gives us as a people the duty of ensuring that we love each other”, he stated.

He said in this world today, we have to work together.
