Sa Nous Meme Tent in Mahaut dubbed a major success

One can safely say that the Mahaut community definitely appreciate Dominica’s carnival, more so the calypso artform, after the Mahaut Festivals Committee successfully staged their ‘Sa Nous Meme Tent’ at the Mahaut market last Saturday.

The ‘Sa Nous Meme Tent’, which was the first major event staged by the Mahaut Festivals Committee, is being described as a success, having attracted greater participation compared to other national events held on that same night.

The tent featured a number of calypsonians from the communities of Mahaut and Portsmouth.

There was a guest performance by calypso semifinalists, trend setter, who sang his famous 2011 rendition, ready-made jacket.

Other events organized by the Mahaut Festivals Committee include a big truck jam scheduled to take place on February 19th, an Opening Ceremony on February 20th, a Calypso King Contest on February 26th and a Princess Show on February 19th, 2011.
