Second Attack on a Teacher at the Dominica Grammar School
Concern grows in the Dominican population as yet another teacher at the Dominica grammar school has been attacked by a student on February 27th.
Mr. Michael Augustine who has been employed at the school for over 5 years, was attacked by a student while supervising a class during school hours.
As a result of the attack his prescription glasses were broken and the police were called to deal with the situation.
The attack comes a few weeks after another male teacher at the Dominica grammar school Mr. Fari Winston had to seek medical attention at the hospital as a result of being attacked with a piece of wood by a student.
Government officials and teachers of the Dominica grammar school held a meeting following this incident, however made no public announcement as to the conclusion of the meeting.
However despite concerns of both parents and students, the latter who following the last attack took to the streets in protest, there has been no public response by the ministry of education.
Efforts were made by to contact education officials proved futile.
