Second Consecutive Win for Dominica in Under 13 Cricket Tournament

cricket_pic.jpgCaptain, Leic Charles led from the front as he piloted Dominica to its second consecutive win in as many matches in the 2012 St. Kitts Invitational under 13 cricket tournament currently taking place in St. Kitts and Nevis.

After disposing of St. Kitts in their opening encounter by 61 runs on Sunday at the Warner Park, Dominica easily brushed aside Anguilla by 161 runs on Monday at the Conaree grounds.

Charles hit a superb unbeaten 107 as Dominica totaled 229 for five from their allotment of 25 overs. Charles was ably supported by Taj Tavernier with 45. Maldini Royer also scored 19 runs.

In reply, Anguilla was bundled out for 68 in 21.1 overs. Bowling for Dominica, Maldini Royer took three for seven, Lee Louisy took three for two and there were two wickets apiece for Terrel Toussaint and Alick Athanaze.

The team will go in search of its third win in a row when they come up against Montserrat on Wednesday at the Edward Gilbert Park in Molineux, St. Kitts. On Thursday, they will travel to Nevis to take on Nevis.
