Seven (7) to vie for Miss Wob Dwiyet 2010

Seven young ladies will vie for the title of Miss Wob dwiyet 2010 on Thursday, October 28th, as part of activities marking Dominica’s 32nd, Independence Celebrations which is being celebrated under the theme ‘Creating opportunities, empowering Communities.’

 

The ladies were presented to the general public at the Official Opening Ceremony of Dominica’s 32nd Independence Celebrations at the Old Mill Cultural Center, on Saturday September 25th, 2010.

 

They are Nadege Roach who will be representing Grand Bay, Cindy Larocque of Dublanc, Tawana Jeremy of Fond Cole, Raquel George of Grand Fond, Sara-Lee Thomas of Petite Soufriere, Amira Joseph of Portsmouth and Shernella Davis of Woodford Hill.

 

The show which is scheduled to begin at 8:30pm comprises of four segments, namely the Opening number, Performing arts, Spectacular Wear and the Wob Dwiyet category. Samantha Yankee of Marigot is the reigning Miss Wob Dwiyet.
