Seven to vie for Miss Wob Dwiyet this year
Seven young ladies have devoted their time and talent to participate in the 2011 Miss Wob Dwiyet Pageant this year.
The contestants who were launched last week are expected to grace the stage on the night of Thursday, October 27th at the Old Mill Cultural Center from 8:30pm.
The contestants are; Denelle Anthony of Dos Danne representing the northern district, Antonia Joseph of Boetica representing the south east district, Tenderly Francis of Marigot representing the north east district, Zenia Elizee of Grandbay representing the south district, Shakira Pierre of Coulibistrie representing the western district, Amika Cognette of Roseau representing the south west district and Annine Thomas of the Kalinago Territory.
Chief Cultural Officer, Mr Raymond Lawrence said that the Cultural Division is pleased that this year they can coordinate both the Miss Wob Dwiyet and Madam Wob Dwiyet Shows.
The Madam Wob Dwiyet show will feature women within the range of sixty years; a show which has not been held in Dominica for over a decade.
The contestants for the Madam Wob Dwiyet Show are expected to be launched early in October.
